Flintridge Center
Flintridge Center is a Pasadena-based nonprofit dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty, violence, and incarceration by creating pathways to opportunity. Through programs focused on youth development, workforce preparation, and reintegration, Flintridge helps individuals overcome barriers and build brighter futures.
Their Apprenticeship Preparation Program (APP), is a 10-week, 240-hour program designed to prepare individuals for careers in the union construction trades. The program combines hands-on construction training with apprenticeship readiness, OSHA-10 and CPR/First Aid certifications, mentoring, employment development, financial literacy, physical fitness, and union and construction site visits.

Sycamores has a longstanding commitment to supporting youth transitioning from foster care, including programs that provide housing, life skills, education, and employment support. Its work aligns closely with FATE’s mission to create meaningful opportunities for foster youth and help them build a path toward independence and long-term success.
First Place for Youth
First Place for Youth is a nonprofit dedicated to helping foster youth successfully transition into adulthood and build lives of self-sufficiency and independence. Through housing, education, employment support, and individualized services, First Place provides young people with the tools and resources they need to pursue their goals and build a strong foundation for the future.
Its nationally recognized My First Place™ program provides transition-age foster youth with safe housing, case management, education and employment support, and opportunities to pursue jobs and apprenticeships that can lead to living-wage careers. First Place for Youth has also served young people throughout Los Angeles County since 2010, making it a valuable partner in creating meaningful pathways to independence for foster youth.
